DRUG and ALCOHOL PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION PROGRAM
This program provides substance use/abuse prevention and
intervention services to the youth and their families of Colorado and Fayette County. School based
programs are offered on both the public and private school campuses.

Life Skills Training is a proven approach to Drug Abuse Prevention.
This 15 session research based theory driven curriculum was developed by Gilbert Botvin, Ph.D. During this first year of implementation,
the school-base program will be available to all sixth graders. The
program's emphasis is on providing young people with the life skills they need
to navigate the challenges of adolescence including the following: coping
skills, decision-making and problem-solving; self-management; self-assessment; goal-setting; and charting their own progress. |
